Bled, Island - The Church of the Assumption

The Bled Island (Sln. Blejski otok) is situated in middle of the Bled Lake, Slovenia. There are few buildings had been built on the island, Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary ( Cerkev Marijinega vnebovzetja) were built in the 15th century, and few other buildings.

I've used 3D max for modelling and texturing the base and buildings including Church. Then I used Vue7 for environment and foliage population, also rendered in Vue. Post render effects in Photoshop CS4.
It have taken a long time to model and render it. It was one of the huge project on my last weeks, so hope you like it.

Image based on real island that is located 1,200 km southward of Tokyo. Iwo Jima is one of the Japanese Volcano Islands.

While WWII the island was a site for a violent battle known as "Battle of Iwo JIma" and became cemetery for more than 50000 soldiers both American and Japanese.

I'm new in VUE, therefore do not blame me hard. The first volume of the island I did few month ago, but my skills weren't so as they are now, and I didn't post the rendered image.
This model of the island based on previous one, but was remade and a bit changed. I've added some new effects and some new details. I've used EcoSystems to create the foliage and some other tricks. Post render effects were done on Photoshop.

in comparison with new version, I'll post the first one.

Its the portrait of an American industrial design and special effects engineer. He is most known from MythBusters. He is a great host and very interesting person! I've seen almost all series!

I've been drawing the portrait more than 10 hour or so of pure work time. I've used a lot of preference photos and videos. Mainly I did it in photoshop, I've had tried to make some part in Painter, but was disappointed. therefore I decided to finish it in Photoshop.
I prefer to work in loose manner, its kind of my style. But the way I draw is always being commented like unfinished or so. However to me its completely finished art work. So you have to become used to my manner.

I have a lot of unfinished artworks because of busy hours of work. I can't spend my time on drawing while my work is waiting, but sometime I just need to make a rest and spend my time for Art.Therefore I set some priority and importance levels to art works I do. So it was an important artworks.

Tired soldier passing through chilled battlefield. He had won his own war. Stare says: how hard it was to pass through all this, how bloody were rivers he passed, how stuffy were trenches he crawled, how deadly were bullets he shot, how callous were enemies he killed. In spite of this, he could keep his soul pure.

Image was done by using Photoshop CS. You ought to think its unfinished, but if you do so then you are wrong, I'm used to drawing images look like unfinished. To me they look more natural and vivid. also I've used custom brushes.

Originally, it is a portrait of my best friend Munin. It is kind of b/d gift, despite I've missed it.

"Yukari Tamura" she is a friend of mine. Very beautiful and interesting girl.
I've spent a lot of time to finish it and tried to get some realistic, but especially kept some strokes of brushes. As my father says keep your images half done, to make them look more natural, therefore some on parts of image are undone.

I've been Inspired, its usually happens in the deeper nights.
I started it with some speed painting but it took too much time, and I decided to finish it, while inspiration was existing.
well, image about girl called Natavan, I already did few drawings of her such as "NATA" and "Waiting so long". you can find them down the gallery in my portfolio.
I've used custom brushes and decided not to use color in this piece. Hair took too much time, hate drawing it! I'm not trying to get realistic view in my images, just want them look like "feeling expression"

I've beed inspired so could have done this image. For a long time I have been working on some architectural projects. Now I have some break and can spend my time to art.

Well about the image, it took too much time to do it and I didnt spend too much time to details and stuff, I just expressed my fellings. As always it was done on Photoshop CS. I like CS much more than any other or new versions.

Reflection of my mood on bad and stressed day. Main drawing was done in Painter and some correction in Photoshop. This image was done in 2+ hours with out rest time.
I used digital water color for sketch and Conte for the details ( most on face). This idea was based on pen sketch that i did day ago. Black as usual simbolize the evil, but in this picture its only reflecting the mood. more than 1 hour I been worked on his face.

A dragoon is a soldier intended primarily to fight on foot but trained also in horse riding and cavalry combat, especially during the late 17th and early 18th centuries when dragoon regiments were established in most European armies.

This artwork I did for friend's restoration contest, they made real clothes from that.

Interiors layout and even full house layouts (even light layouts) were made by using ArchiCAD. I worked on DWG files in Max, to make all details of interior and proportions in scale. To edit sofa and bed i have been using ZBrush 3.0. All object were created in max even forks, spoons and lamps.
I'm used to using configuration with fast speed rendring and at least normal quality.

Modeling time was like 2 or 3 days of hard works, first my idea was born on the paper, then modeling it in 3ds max7, used vray for rendring,
render time: 5:08:40

also i used original light system, main lamp I took from the BEGA librery "Limburg 1554 1 A60 100W"

This Image was done in Photoshop only with 2 brushes. Image is not so detailed and not base on any composition, I reach the scene with light and color reflection and tried to get the mood or the atmosphere of this early morning (maybe Sunday).
